Every collection on this site

This page is a sampler — sixty cute symbols from each family. Each family has its own page with the complete set, searchable and ready to copy and paste.

Two tools for building with them

The cute username generator builds aesthetic usernames out of these symbols and fancy letters, and the aesthetic bio maker takes text you have already written and decorates it. Both copy with one tap, the same way the symbols do.

How to use these cute symbols

Click or tap a symbol and it is copied immediately — a small “Copied” confirmation appears at the bottom of the screen. Paste it wherever you need it: an Instagram bio, a Discord nickname, a TikTok caption, a Google Doc, your notes app.

For several at once, use the combo tray. Right-click on desktop or long-press on mobile adds a symbol to the tray instead of copying it. Stack as many as you like, press Copy combo, and the whole decoration comes across as one string.

The search box matches on names rather than the character itself, so typing “bow”, “moon” or “divider” finds what you want even when you have no idea what the symbol is officially called.

Hearts, stars and the small marks that do the work

The plain outline heart ♡ and the solid ♥ are text characters, so they take the colour of the text around them and keep the line height even. The emoji heart is a picture: always red, always its own size, and it can push a line taller. For a bio, the text versions almost always look tidier.

The characters that make aesthetic text work are mostly the smallest ones: ⋆, ˚, ˖, ࣪ and ⊹. Each is barely more than a dot, which is exactly why they read as sparkle rather than clutter. Two or three scattered around a word do more than one big star ever will.

Why some cute symbols show up as an empty box

A symbol is a Unicode character — a number your device looks up in whichever font it is using. If that font has no drawing for that number, you get the fallback: an empty rectangle, often called a tofu box. The copy worked; the receiving device simply cannot draw it.

Many of the newer coquette marks come from scripts like Balinese, Cham and Lepcha, and font support for those is still patchy on older Android and on Windows. You can look any character up in the official Unicode character charts. The safe rule: hearts, stars, arrows and the classic dividers render almost everywhere, so use those when a decoration has to work on a device you cannot test.

Where these symbols work — and where they get stripped

Most places accept them without complaint: Instagram bios and captions, TikTok display names, Discord nicknames and status, Twitter/X, WhatsApp, Telegram, Roblox, and every ordinary text field on your phone.

A few places will not. Some platforms filter usernames down to plain letters and numbers, so a decorated handle simply will not save. Email addresses and most login fields reject them too. And a few systems silently drop combining marks — the tiny ones that stack onto other characters — which is why a combo can arrive looking shorter than you built it.

Frequently asked questions

Are these cute symbols free to use?

Yes. They are standard Unicode characters, the same class of thing as letters and punctuation — nobody owns them and there is nothing to credit. Use them anywhere you like, including commercially.

How many cute symbols are on this site?

Over 10,602 across 22 collections, from single characters to ready-made combos. Every one of them is one tap to copy and paste.

Why does a symbol look different on my friend’s phone?

Because their device renders it with a different font. Unicode defines what a character means, not exactly how it is drawn, so the same heart can look rounder on iPhone than on Android. If it shows as an empty box instead, that font has no version of it at all.

Can I use these in my Instagram bio?

Yes — bios and captions accept them. Instagram usernames are the exception: those are restricted to letters, numbers, full stops and underscores, so decorations only work in the bio and display name.

How do I copy several cute symbols at once?

Right-click on desktop, or long-press on mobile, to add a symbol to the combo tray at the top of the page instead of copying it. Add as many as you want, then press Copy combo.

Do these work on a computer as well as a phone?

Yes. Clicking copies on desktop the same way, and the symbols paste into documents, spreadsheets, chat apps and browsers without any extra software.
